Scottish rOAD trIP

This was a seven-day journey around Scotland, with many sights packed into a short space of time. The notable stops included: Loch Lomond, the Cairngorms, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, and Glencoe.

Because of the amount to see, there was a considerable amount of driving on most of the days, although we still squeezed in many activities. As it was in mid-summer, the daylight hours were long, maximising the amount of time we had to explore and enjoy this beautiful country.

The itinerary was ambitious, and we were exhausted when we returned to Glasgow. Still, it was a great way to see this gorgeous country, and I’ll definitely return to enjoy the places at a more leisurely pace.

Here, I talk about my Scottish roots, why I wanted to visit Scotland, and my first experiences here, prior to the road trip.

Visiting Loch Lomond, the Cairngorms, Moray Firth and Inverness, to the Isle of Skye.

Touring Skye, skirting around Loch Ness, climbing Ben Nevis, before driving through Glencoe.
