Hiking In the UK

There are countless hiking opportunities across the UK, from the Highlands of Scotland, to Snowdonia in North Wales, the Lake District in England, and the Causeway Coastal Route in Northern Ireland. In recent years, I have been hiking on the well-known routes, as well as discovering plenty of quieter – yet surprisingly rewarding – trails throughout the UK.

A gruelling four-day hike on a rugged yet scenic section of the Pennine Way.

In my home county of Devon is one of England’s surviving wildernesses, with ample trails to explore.

England’s tallest mountain is an enjoyable yet challenging challenge, with great views.

The highest peak in Scotland – and the UK – is as popular as it is beautiful.

A single-day hike up a steep peak in England’s most spectacular National Park – The Lake District.

An opportunity to see one the UK’s finest views, atop Wales’ highest peak, was scuppered by the weather.

A marathon (almost) 24 mile hike through the vast Yorkshire Dales, climbing three peaks along the way.

A relaxing and rewarding walk on a sunny day in the Peak District.
